How to Map a Genus on Google™ Maps
The procedure detailed below will produce a Google Map showing the locations, for the specified Genus, from which the specimens in the San Diego Natural History Museum herbarium were collected.

1. Open Google Maps in your browser at maps.google.com

2. In the text box where you would enter an address to find, enter:

http://sdPlantAtlas.org/GMap/MapKML.aspx?G=genusName&I=yourPBinitials&P=yourPBpassword
(you can copy and paste the line above)

3. In the example, the genus to be mapped is Atriplex, the entry in the Google Maps text box is:

       http://sdPlantAtlas.org/GMap/MapKML.aspx?G=atriplex&I=xyz&P=fido
